How to Use

Use the side toggle to switch between forehead mode and surface and object mode.

Taking a forehead temperature:

  1. Move toggle toward forehead icon
  2. Hold the thermometer parallel to the forehead (no more than 1 inch away). Before taking measurement make sure there isn’t any hair or sweat between the probe and skin as this can cause an inaccurate reading.
  3. Press the scan button once to take the temperature. If the temperature falls between 93.9-100.2 degrees F the display will turn green and a smiley face symbol will appear below the reading. If the temperature falls between 100.4-108 degrees F the display will turn red and a symbol that reads ‘Hi” inside a box will appear with the actually temperature reading.
  4. After completing temperature measurements simply switch the mode back to off position to turn off thermometer.

Taking an object or surface temperature:

  1. Move toggle toward the bottle symbol.
  2. The screen should turn green and temperature should display. If the screen turns blue and reads either “Hi” or “Lo” without a temperature reading you are likely in forehead mode.
  3. After completing temperature measurements simply switch the mode back to off position to turn off thermometer.
